Butler crowned Miss NC High School

Representing Clinton High School, Aliah Butler was recently crowned Miss North Carolina High School 2014 at the state finals held in Southern Pines. Aliah received several thousand dollars in scholarships, gifts, and prizes and will compete in the Miss America High School national finals next July at Disneyworld in Orlando, Fla.. She will spend the year representing all of the high schools in the state and will be promoting ‘The Crown C.A.R.E.S’ anti-bullying platform, which stands for Creating A Respectful Environment in Schools. Aliah is the daughter of Quisan Parker of Clinton and Kevin Butler of Wilmington. Her grandparents are Joann Parker of Fayetteville, and the Rev. Dr. Jerry and Patricia Parker of Roseboro.
