Bulldogs overpower Raiders in 3 of 4 sets.

The Lady Raiders fell to the Bulldogs in varsity action Tuesday in Wallace, losing 3 of the 4 sets: 15-25; 22-25; 25-18; 20-15.

Midway’s girls came close to winning those last three sets, but just couldn’t get those last few points to fall their way.

Amber Poole was a top scorer for the Lady Raiders, scoring 9 points, including 2 aces, and she had 12 assists.

Other stats for Midway showed Michaela Godwin with 8 points and 1 ace; Cassidy Strickland, 6 points, 1 ace, and 19 assists; Savanna Bullins, 5 points and 7 kills; Ivey Parker, 5 kills; Kelsey Pondo, 8 kills, Hannah Hubbard, 10 kills, Morgan Tew, 5 kills and 4 blocks; Savannah Spell 6 blocks.

The Raiders fall to 1-7 overall and 1-3 in the conference. They will host Trask today (Thursday).
