A 33-year-old Sampson County man is facing three felonies and one misdemeanor after being linked to a June 21 larceny on Moseley Avenue, not all that far from his residence.

Jerimiah McNeil Bradsher of 3080 Mosely Ave., Clinton, was charged Wednesday afternoon with obtaining property by false pretense, larceny, possession stolen goods/property, all felonies, and one misdemeanor count of trespassing.

According to Sampson County Sheriff’s Cpl. Marcus Smith, an investigation began after officers received a report of a larceny on Mosely Avenue where some $20,000 in tools and equipment was stolen from an outbuilding.

“Through that investigation, Mr. Bradsher was linked to the crime and warrants were issued,” Smith said.

Bradsher was taken into custody around 3 p.m. Wednesday and placed under a $17,000 secured bond. He has since been released from the Sampson Detention Center.

He is expected to make his first appearance in District Court sometime Friday.
