Dark Horse soccer continues winning streak

The Clinton soccer team continued its winning streak with a 4-1 win over Trask on Wednesday and a 9-0 shutout of West Bladen on Monday.

This puts the Dark Horses tied with the Bulldogs at 6 wins and no losses in their new conference. That tie will be decided on Monday when Wallace-Rose Hill comes to Darkness Stadium. Game time is 6:30 p.m.

In the Trask game, the score was tied at 1-all at halftime. Clinton did some re-adjusting during the intermission and came back and scored 3 more goals before the end of the game.

Scoring for the Horses were Trevor Brewington, Connor Bass, Spell Carr, and Eric Bradshaw. Assisting with three of the goals were Kelby Moore and Wyman Faison on 2 assists.

“Trask came out and played really hard and played well. They are a very physical team,” assistant coach Jamie Williams stated.

Clinton varsity’s record is 10-1-2 overall this season.

The Clinton junior varsity played 4A Jack Britt on Wednesday and tied 3-3.

Their record this season is 2-2-5.
