While “we, the people…” argue (to no avail) over which political party is going to take us to the dance in the next election (and while we argue over Republicans and Democrats), a subversion of our government is occurring.
The subversion is fueled, in part, from the cable news media. Cable is one of the few mega-corporations that remain headquartered on American soil. But then, that seems appropriate. As some believe, they remain here for diversionary purposes, i.e., to support the “back and forth” of Republicans and Democrats while Rome burns.
Take the Fox News Corporation, for example. Its sole purpose is to feed the biased attitudes in right-wing Republican politics and religious opinions. Fox does not deliver the news, rather it reinforces the news. A Fox follower is predisposed to the right. They see all news and opinions through Fox filters. The “bottled-blonds” in that corporation, and the neo-conservative war-monger “talking heads” spew their spin 24 hours a day, and the Fox listener inhales it like smoking a joint. That particular corporation already knows what its listeners want to hear and believe. They simply reinforce biased opinions.
On the other hand, if you are enamored by NBC, MSNBC or the other giant, Time-Warner/CNN, you are fed the predisposition “left-of center” politics. That mega-corporation, too, already know what their listeners want to hear. And much like a new born infant, they feed them “news-spin” one spoonful at a time.
Now if you’re neither, instead you are glued to the other giant, Viacom, you may have already slipped down the primrose path of intellectual slavery and debauchery. If that’s your case, it’s because you gorged yourself on a steady diet of semi-porn broadcasts. Their latest example of porn is the twerting of Millie Cyrus. In pop culture to twert means: “shake dat ….”
In either case, Republican or Democrat, corporate drives the bus for you. If you expect a ride on their bus, you must tolerate their cable broadcasts and their political spin. In the vernacular of 1960’s civil rights language, (when real men and real women walked the earth and offered up their bodies as a sacrifice for justice), had to sit at the back of a bus, or in the back of a restaurant. Be careful however of what you eat from corporate table today. Their food is disguised. It is laced with homemade rat poison: 99 percent corn and 1 percent strychnine. It will kill you.
