The Spartan junior varsity traveled to East Bladen and was shut out 38-0.

Head coach Josh Rackley said the team wasn’t able to get any offensive strategies working due to several of his players missing.

“We had some kids get into trouble so they couldn’t play and that really hurt us. The kids that did play weren’t used to the positions they were having to play, and it was tough only dressing 20 players,” he explained.

Defensively, the team was able to make some major adjustments at intermission. They managed to hold the Eagles to just 6 points on the entire second half of the ballgame, according to Rackley.

The JV Spartans will host Midway next Thursday.
