An Autryville woman has been arrested on felony charges for reportedly breaking into a Roseboro home and attempting to steal items, according to reports from Sampson County Sheriff’s authorities.
Dana Michele Smith, 33, of 2928 Midway Lane, Autryville, was arrested and charged with burglary and attempted larceny, both felonies.
The victim in the incident was Bobby Blake of 306 S. Church St., Roseboro. According to reports, a break-in was reported at the home, in which a window in the front door was busted by a cinder block before a suspect entered the residence. Damage to the front door window pane was estimated at $100.
The incident was reported just after 8:30 p.m. Friday and Smith was taken into custody three hours later, her arrest report indicates.
“Through investigation, detectives were able to determine that Dana Smith was the suspect,” said Cpl. Marcus Smith. “Based on that, charges were taken out and served.”
Smith was placed under $7,000 secured bond.
