Halloween is over but the fun is not, thanks to The Sampson Independent’s ongoing Virtual Costume Contest, still under way, with voting ongoing through Nov. 13.
If you haven’t already, start casting those votes today, and every day, until the contest is completed. It’s simple and quick and can be easily accessed through our website at www.clintonnc.com. Just click on the Virtual Costume Contest logo, peruse those who’ve entered and make your selection, giving participants a shot at some pretty neat cash awards, all courtesy of Civitas Media, The Sampson Independent and our valued advertising sponsors Ford of Clinton, Clinton Grain, Matthews, Ellis Lewis Auto and Stacey’s Florist & Gifts.
The contest has been fun from the start, and more fun can be had as you click through the entries and decide which ones deserve a shot at the prizes. It’s really a great way to kick off the season of holidays, which began with Halloween last week and continues right through the Christmas season.
From costume-wearing to a salute of veterans, followed by turkey eating and gift buying all along the way, the time is now here to begin getting into that festive spirit that makes us all walk a little lighter, smile a little brighter and hum a little louder.
The Virtual Costume Party is one way to lighten your mood, have a little fun and, at the same time, set entries apart and in line for a shot at some cash prizes that are sure to make someone’s holiday season just a little more festive.
Taking part is easy, whether you entered or not, as you begin to cast your votes for a contestant. There’s no charge to enter or vote. All one has to have is a valid email address and a willingness to be a part in some way. Just visit our website at www.clintonnc.com, click on the Virtual Costume Party logo then let your fingers do the walking through the easy online instructions.
If you entered the contest, now’s the time to call all your friends, send them a tweet or post your contest status on Facebook and begin to accumulate the votes. What’s more, have your friends notify their friends until you’ve built up a buffet of votes from across Sampson and beyond.
Then sit back and watch the votes accumulate, taking you closer and closer to one of those prizes.
What’s not to enjoy? Everything about the contest is fun and free, a way to enjoy yourself right in the midst of your own home.
We once again thank Ford of Clinton, Ellis Lewis, Matthews, Clinton Grain and Stacey’s Florist & Gifts for being great sponsors of an event that they, like we, hope will invite a little merriment into your homes, a fun way to kick off what is a wonderful time of the year.
So join in the fun. Vote today, and encourage others to do the same. The contest is only as good as those who participate, so get involved today; we think you’ll be glad you did.
