Lethia Lee, EFNEP program assistant at the Sampson County Cooperative Extension, recently visited the Duplin-Sampson Area Mental Health’s Mayflower House in Clinton to teach close to 20 adults there about resource management, food safety, and smart eating habits and shopping skills. Of the special population, Lee said that after the class she felt like they were able to ‘do more things on their own and help themselves more…I feel like I left them with some life skills that they can use for themselves and with their own families.’
