A 38-year-old Sampson County man remained behind bars Wednesday morning facing a laundry list of sexual offenses with a minor, including participating in prostitution of the youngster.

Anthony Lee Kueneman of 19 Hurricane Lane, Clinton was charged Monday afternoon with four counts sex offense with a child; two counts rape of a child; one count participating in prostitution of a minor; four counts indecent liberties with a child; and two counts of sodomy (crimes against nature), all felony offenses.

He was taken into custody at his Hurricane Lane residence at 2 p.m., then taken to the Sampson County Detention Center where he was placed under a $500,000 secured bond and jailed.

According to Sampson Sheriff’s Cpl. Marcus Smith, the 12-year-old female victim made the allegations against Kueneman, which were immediately investigated by Department of Social Service case workers.

The victim, Smith said, was immediately removed from the home.

“During the investigation, it was determined that the allegations were factual, and as a result, the suspect was charged with the offenses,’ the sheriff’s corporal stressed.

The incidents reportedly occurred between September 2012 and June 2013.

Because of the sensitivity of the case and the age of the child, no further details were immediately available.

Kueneman is scheduled to make his first appearance in Sampson County District Court on those charges Jan. 17.
