Midway traveled to Wallace-Rose Hill Tuesday, and the first game on the slate was the JV Boy’s basketball game. This game, as all 3 did, ended in Midway’s favor, 81-63.

The Raiders led by 16 after the first quarter, but allowed the Bulldogs to cut the lead to 4 at halftime, 39-35.

Midway then built a 10 point lead in the third before going on to win the game by 18 points for the team’s 11th consecutive win. They are now 11-1 on the season and 4-0 in the conference.

Head coach for Midway Matthew Creech was pleased with his team’s play, and stated the importance of getting the road win in the conference. He felt they played good defensivley and it was an overall team effort.

Leading scorers for Midway were Paris Smith with 21, and Ayden Canady and Shyhiem Small each scored 14 points.

The Raiders will host a very good Trask team on Friday in Spivey’s Corner.
