Hole No. 8 at Coharie Country Club was a popular spot Wednesday as children and their parents — and some fun-loving adults — took to the hill, sleds in tow, to enjoy the snow that blanketed the county overnight Tuesday. With school out, youngsters took advantage of the day off to get outdoors and play, sledding, making snowballs to toss at their friends and to roll around in the snow. Squeals of delight could be heard across the golf course as sledders headed down hill throughout the day, many coming back and forth until dusk. Even those who took a tumble seemed thrilled at the adventure.
