The heart

Jeremiah 17:9-10 says, “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? I the Lord search the heart, I try reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.” Saints of God, this verse pertains to the saved and unsaved, the church goer and the non-church goer; it covers all aspects of people. There are things that can be hidden from man but not from God. As I said last week, many people think no one sees them, but I am here to let you know that God sees it and has even seen it. Oh yeah, I know some think that because it was done in the past that God did not see it, but he did. The thing I love about God is that he sees that deep spot within your heart that no one sees. The word “deceitful” means having a tendency or disposition to deceive. Again, these things can be hidden from man but not from God, who says “you will be rewarded” according to your doings. You have heard it before — “You reap what you sow,” whether it be good or bad. We are living in a world were God is reviling what’s deep with-in man’s heart. God has been patient and merciful towards us with time to repent, and yet pride has stood between man being delivered from this issue. Don’t be in shock when you hear or see people doing a horrible acts, because it’s been deep within their hearts and now they are just acting out the desire of it. The time is now to seek Jesus and to ask him to show you what’s within your heart that’s not like him. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you overcome these things that are buried within your heart. God’s desire is that our hearts be clean and pure for his purpose. Come clean with God so that he may use you for his glory.
