Clinton is starting the baseball season off with a bang this year. The Dark Horses are undefeated after three games, including a 7-0 shut-out in the Wallace Dog Pen for their first conference win.

Head coach Tracy Thornton said he was happy with the way the season is shaping up so far.

Alex Purcell pitched all 7 innings; allowing 4 hits and striking out 8 batters.

From the batter’s box, Purcell excelled as well. He went 2 for 3, with 1 triple, and 1 RBI. Other leading hitters included Chris Royal, who went 2 for 4 with 1 RBI; and Jonathan Wright, 2 for 4 with a home-run.

The Dark Horses will host Trask on Friday.
