Midway’s soccer team kept their winning ways going Friday evening with a win at Pender. For the third consecutive game, the Lady Raider’s opponents haven’t had a shot on goal, which is a testament to just how well the Midway defense is playing. Midway’s offense was clicking and firing on all cylinders as well. Midway scored 8 goals, and was never really threatened throughout the game.

For Midway, Jakish Williams, Avery Apperson, and Anna Apperson had 2 goals, and Kimberly O’Brien and Conner Willis each scored a goal. Anna Apperson, Avery Apperson, and Conner Willis each had an assist, and Kimberly O’Brien had 2 assists.

“We got contributions from so many people tonight. Our defense continues to play well, and the defense is really allowing us to be in great positions to win the game,” said Midway’s head coach Trey Apperson.

Midway plays at Rosewood Monday evening, and will put their 3-0 conference record, and 4-1 overall record on the line.
