Clinton’s softball team fell at home to a good East Bladen squad Friday evening. East Bladen won the game 14-3.

Non-indicative of the score, but Clinton hit the ball well Friday evening. Callie Sumner had a single and a double, with 2 runs scored, Kris Glasper had a triple and scored a run, DeAsia Edwards had 2 singles, and Sydney Simmons had a double.

Clinton’s problem was stranding runners. “We left so many runners on base, but we really hit the ball well tonight. I know the score doesn’t show it, but hopefully we can take the good hitting from tonight and build on it for our next game,” said Clinton’s head coach Ashley Slater.

Clinton had Paige Tatum, Madison Mitchell, and Kris Glasper on the mound Friday night. It was Glasper’s first night pitching, and it was a role she handled well. The Lady Horses may look to give her more work on the mound in the coming games.

Clinton is set to travel to Midway to play the Lady Raiders Tuesday evening.
