Mintz Christian Academy students participating in the school’s new elective course in public speaking recently competed in the district ACSI speech meet in Raleigh and brought home two ‘good’ and two ‘excellent’ ribbons for their work. The public speaking class focused on reader’s theater, small productions, and speech meet preparation. Prior to the meet, students selected the competition category of their choice. The categories included humorous poetry, dramatic poetry, dramatic reading, humorous reading, duet, original speech, and Bible reading.
