Lakewood’s softball team was defeated in Friday night’s game against the Spring Creek Gators. As the Leopards were unable to put the bat on the ball, they were unable to score runs. The game ended with a final score of 5-0.

Lakewood’s head coach, Dave Yarasheski, commented, “Overall, there was much better effort this evening. I’m a lot happier. We only had a couple of errors in the field. Spring Creek’s pitcher is a good pitcher, but at the plate we didn’t really do the job. We had the opportunity to score runs there in the 2nd inning, but we couldn’t quite get the runs across.”

For the Leopards, Amanda Bowden pitched all 7 innings, she had 1 walk, 3 strikeouts, and she gave up 9 hits, and had 6 runs. As for batting, Madison Tart, and Alyssa Horne both went, 1-3.

The Leopards are traveling to Rosewood on Tuesday, and they now host a record of 3-9 overall and 0-7 in the conference.
