Learning bus safety
On Friday, Feb. 1, the kindergarten through third grade students at Roseboro Elementary School learned about bus safety through a special presentation. Kevin Westbrook, the transportation supervisor for Sampson County Schools, and James Daly, the NC School Bus and Traffic Safety specialist, met with students to review several bus safety procedures, such as boarding and exiting the bus correctly and how to evacuate the bus in case of an emergency. They then took the children outside to the buses where they had the opportunity to put into practice what they had learned.
