NEW ORLEANS — Representatives of CommWell Health accepted the prestigious international Summit Award for recognition of their Service Excellence Program Director at the 13th annual Healthcare Service Excellence Conference, held Jan. 21-23 in New Orleans.

The three-day forum was a gathering of healthcare leaders from across the continent, to discuss and showcase innovative methods to improve the patient experience.

The award recognizes Connie Wooten as being a pillar in the organization who leads, motivates, listens, communicates, and coaches. Wooten has worked with CommWell Health for 21 years, and in addition to her role as service excellence program director,she also serves as the director of public relations and marketing. She also works as a volunteer with the Interfaith Food Shuttle program and she is a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Newton Grove. She resides in the Timothy community with her husband, Steve Wooten and their son, Nathan.

Brian Lee, CSP, founder of the Healthcare Service Excellence Conference, said that “the Summit Award is our highest award of excellence. It is awarded only to highly qualified, innovative, and progressive individuals, and healthcare facilities who have made outstanding progress improving the patient experience and staff engagement.”

The Healthcare Service Excellence Conference is dedicated to delivering evidence based solutions to help hospitals, senior facilities, and clinics to improve the patient service.
