Willie M. Sutton

WARSAW — Willie Melvin Sutton, 84 ,of 320 W. Hill St., died Feb. 28, 2013 at her home.

Born in Duplin County, she is the daughter of the late John H. and Macy Dove Rogers.

The funeral will be held Saturday, March 9 at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church Magnolia with the Rev. Tony Harrington, officiating. Burial will follow in Devotional Gardens.

She is survived by her children, Charlie Sutton Jr., Inez Sutton and Denise Sutton, all of Warsaw and Melva Ballard of St. Louis, Missouri; three brothers, Bertland Rogers, Charles Rogers and John Rogers Jr., all of Magnolia; two sisters, Marjorie Frederick of Magnolia and Velma Anthony of Chesapeake, Va.; six grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.

Viewing will be held Friday from 6 until 8 p.m. at First Baptist Chruch Magnolia. The family will be present at this time to receive friends and at other times at the residence.
