Carolyn Bass

BENSON — Carolyn Bass, 53, of 508 Marlar Road, died Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Betsy Johnson Medical Center in Dunn.

Ms. Bass was born in Sampson County in 1959 to the late Lester and Peggy Parker Bass and worked as a C.N.A. in the healthcare field.

The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, March 12 at Old Mill Church of God on Williams Lake Road in Roseboro with pastor Jimmy Honeycutt officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Ms. Bass leaves behind sons, Robert Bass of Benson and Octaviano Ramirez of Smithfield; daughters, Rosia Casillas of Benson and Judith Gonzalez of Four Oaks; brother, Frank Bass of Lakeland, Fla.; sister, Jenny Hall of Clinton; and four grandchildren.

The family will receive friends 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, March 11 at Hope Valley Funeral Service, 1275 Hobbton Hwy., Clinton and other times at 508 Marlar Road, Benson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Hope Valley Funeral Service to help offset the funeral expense for the family.
