Selected superintendents from across North Carolina were honored on Thursday, May 19, for their successful completion of the Superintendents’ Executive Leadership Program. Superintendent Dr. Stuart Blount, of Clinton City Schools, was among 19 superintendents selected for this professional development program.
This eight day program allowed superintendents to sharpen their leadership skills through an in-depth look at leadership practices.
“This program provided us, as superintendents, an opportunity to reflect upon and develop strategies to improve our leadership skills,” Blount said. “Being selected to participate in the Superintendents’ Executive Leadership Program was an honor and an extremely rewarding experience.”
The leadership team behind this project were: Dr. Larry Coble, Lead Developer; Dr. Ann W. Davis, Project Manager; Dr. Del Burns, Executive Leadership Coach; and Mr. Jack Hoke, Executive Director of the North Carolina School Superintendents Association.
