Clinton Deltas serve the community

The Clinton Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is looking forward to more success in 2016 and 2017. T. Pamela Bennett, president of the chapter, reported that the organization held several activities throughout the year. Some of them included providing financial assistance through scholarships, hosting fundraisers World AIDS Day and a winter dance. The organization recently traveled to Virginia Beach, Va.for the South Atlantic Region conference, which consisted of chapters from North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and Bermuda.

The local chapter began in 1995 at Andrews Chapel Church. It currently has 40 members emphasizing sisterhood, service and scholarship. Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. was founded in 1913 on the campus of Howard University in Washington, D.C.
