A Roseboro teenager has been charged in connection with a runaway juvenile case out of Onslow County.

Austin Talton Tart, 17, of 219 Knollwood Lane, Roseboro, was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor, listed as a misdemeanor offense. Tart was arrested at his residence on Friday, transported to the Sampson County Sheriff’s Office and placed under $25,000 secured bond for the charge, according to reports released Monday.

Details are sketchy, but Sheriff’s Lt. Marcus Smith said the suspect was arrested in connection with a runaway juvenile reported missing from Onslow County. The runaway was a 13-year-old female, Smith noted.

“No further information is available on this case at this time and the investigation is ongoing,” he stated.
