Four-vehicle wreck on U.S. 421


A wreck Sunday afternoon on U.S. 421 at Browns Church Road, north of Clinton, involved four vehicles and resulted in several injuries, according to N.C. Highway Patrol authorities. Details on the wreck, which happened at 3:15 p.m., were not available on Monday. The wreck happened in close proximity to a July 13 wreck in which a log truck lost control on U.S. 421 and collided head-on with a vehicle being driven by an Autryville woman, who died as a result. Trooper J.F. Smith is investigating.
