Revivals begin at area churches

On Wednesday, Aug. 24-26 at 7:30 p.m. nightly (already in progress), revival will be held at Goshen Disciples Church, Faison. There will be a guest revivalist and different choirs each night.

On Wednesday, Aug. 24-26 at 7:30 p.m. nightly, revival will be held at Mingle Hill Disciples of Christ Church, Salemburg. The guest revivalist will be Dr. Onya Martin of Saint Paul Church, Clinton. Wednesday’s guest is Point Level Disciples of Christ choir, Thursday is Union Star Freewill Baptist Church and Friday is Higher Level Ministries in Kenansville.

On Wednesday, Aug. 24-26 at 7:30 p.m. nightly, Pre-Pastoral Anniversary for Elder Willie H.Bryant will be held at St. Jude U.H. Church, Clinton. The guest speaker on Wednesday is the Rev. Jeffery White, choir and congregation of Brown’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Clinton, on Thursday, the Rev. Gerald Underwood, choir and congregation of Andrew Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Clinton and on Friday, elder Donald Graham, choir and congregation of Sampson Chapel Church, Clinton.

On Wednesday, Aug. 24-26 at 7:30 p.m. nightly, revival will be held at Wilson Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Turkey. The guest revivalist is pastor the Rev. Tony R. Harrington of First Baptist Church, Magnolia.

On Friday, Aug. 26 at 7 p.m., New Life Outreach Ministries will have Youth Night Service. The guest speaker is 11-year-old Minister Kevin Lopez.

On Friday, Aug. 26, at 7:30 p.m., Prophetic Night Service will be held at The New Church of Christ, Faison. The guest messenger will be Prophet Dallas Turner, choir and congregation of The Way World Wide Ministries, Wallace.

On Saturday, Aug. 27, at 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., Unity Day In The Park. There will be several games, food and school supplies for the kids.

On Saturday, Aug. 27, from 10 a.m. – noon, Christ Missionary Baptist Church is hosting a Back to School Youth Conference. Special speaker will be Tawana Williams of Wilson.

On Sunday, Aug. 28, at 11 a.m., Women’s Day Service will be held at Lisbon St. Missionary Baptist Church, Clinton. The guest messenger will be the Rev. Patricia Boykin Moore of Clinton. The women’s choir will render the music. Dinner will be served after morning service.

On Sunday, Sept. 4, at 11 a.m., Garland First Baptist Church will celebrate their Homecoming. Dinner will be served after morning service. At 3 p.m. the guest messenger will be Dr. Zebedee Herring, choir and congregation of Royal Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Harrells.

On Wednesday, Sept. 7-9 at 7:30 p.m., Fall Revival will be held at Garland First Baptist Church, Garland. The guest revivalists are: The Rev. Harvey Robinson, choir and congregation of Keathern Chapel Baptist Church, Harrells. Dr. Timothy Peppers, choir and congregation of Union Grove Disciples of Christ, Clinton. Dr. Hugh Miller, choir and congregation of St. Steven AME Zion Church, Garland.
