Revivals, celebrations being held locally

On Wednesday, Sept. 28-30 at 7:30 p.m. nightly (already in progress), Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, invites the community to our upcoming Repentance Revival. The guest revivalist will be Bishop Terry McZeke pastor of Monument of Faith Church Ministries, Marion, SC.

On Wednesday, Sept. 28-30 at 7:30 p.m. nightly, Fall Revival is held at Lisbon St. Missionary Baptist Church, Clinton. The guest revivalist will be Dr. Nilous M. Avery II (The President of the G.B.S.C) Different choirs each night.

On Friday, Sept. 30, at 7:30 p.m., A Spiritual Healing Service will be held at First Missionary Baptist Church, Roseboro. The pastor, the Rev. John T. Oliver, will minister the word, and the combine choir will render the music.

On Friday, Sept. 30, at 7:30 p.m., Prophetic Service will be held at The New Church of Christ, Faison. The guest messenger will be Prophet Leroy Hargett, choir and congregation of Life Changing Church, Clayton.

On Saturday, Oct. 1, from 12-4 p.m., Family and Friend’s Day will be held at Chapel Hill Missionary Baptist Church, Autryville.

On Saturday, Oct. 1, at 5 p.m., Garland First Baptist Mass Choir will celebrate their anniversary. The musical guests are: Perry Parker and Jubalaries: Bentonville Male Chorus; Jackson Grove Bible Church of God; Newkirk Chapel Male Chorus and many more.

On Saturday, Oct. 1, at 6 p.m., Musical program will be held at Wilson Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Turkey. The musical guests are: Voices of Distinction of Fort Bragg; Unity Male Chorus of Magnolia, and many more. Pastor, the Rev. Wendell Newton and the Brotherhood of Wilson Chapel will sponsor the program.

On Sunday, Oct. 2, at 11 a.m., Annual Homecoming service will be observed at Brown’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Clinton. The pastor, the Rev. Jeffery B. White will bring forth the word, and the senior choir will render the music. Dinner will be served following the morning service. At 4 p.m., the guest messenger will be the Rev. Floyd Ray, choir and congregation of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Dunn.

On Sunday, Oct. 2, at 11 a.m., Mingle Hill Disciples of Christ Church, on 100 Zoar Church Road, Salemburg, will celebrate their 84th Annual Homecoming. Dinner will be served following the morning service. At 3 p.m. the guest messenger will be the Rev. Leslie Morrisey, choir and congregation of Greater Six Runs Missionary Baptist Church, Turkey.

On Sunday, Oct. 2, at 11 a.m., Annual Homecoming service will be observed at Snowhill Missionary Baptist Church, Roseboro. Pastor, Dr. S.E. Bryant will minister the word and the senior choir will render the music. Dinner will be served following the morning service. At 3 p.m. the guest messenger will be the Rev. Freddie Herring, choir and congregation of Chapel Hill Missionary Baptist Church, Autryville.

On Sunday, Oct. 2, at 11 a.m., Annual Homecoming service will be observed at Union Star Freewill Baptist Church, Clinton. The pastor, Bishop James Leftdwrige will minister the word and the combine choir will render the music. Dinner will be served following the morning service. At 3 p.m. the guest messenger will be Elder James Collins, choir and congregation of Goldsboro Chapel Freewill Baptist Church, Goldsboro.

On Sunday, Oct. 2, at 11 a.m., Annual Homecoming service will be observed at Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church, Turkey. The guest messenger will be the Rev. Willie C. Alford, choir and congregation of Poplar Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Faison. Dinner will be served following the morning service.

On Sunday, Oct. 2, at 11 a.m., Regular morning worship service will be held at Little Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Clinton. The Rev. Alice J. Boykin will bring forth the word and the youth choir will render the music. At 3 p.m. the youth choir will celebrate their choir anniversary. The musical guests are: Wilson Chapel choir of Turkey, Pilgrim Rest youth choir of Ivanhoe, The People Church choir of Clinton, St. James youth choir of Delway and others. Refreshments will be served.

On Sunday, Oct. 2, at 11 a.m., The Senior Choir of Running Branch Disciples of Christ Church, Clinton, will celebrate their 69th choir anniversary. The pastor, Elder Calvin Dean will minister the word and the senior choir will render the music.

On Sunday, Oct. 2, at 11 a.m. Regular morning worship service will be held at Lisbon St. Missionary Baptist Church, Clinton. The guest messenger will be the Rev. Marques Lewis of Union Chapel Church, Burgaw and the combine choir will render the music.

On Monday, Oct. 3-5 at 7:30 p.m. nightly, Fall Revival will be held at First Missionary Baptist Church, Roseboro. The guest revivalist will be Dr. Evenla Oliver of St. Jude Disciples of Christ, Warsaw. Different choirs each night.

On Sunday, Oct. 9, at 10 a.m. Annual Homecoming / Family and Friend’s Day will be observed at First Missionary Baptist Church, Roseboro. Pastor T. Oliver will minster the word and the combine choir will render the music. Dinner will be served following the morning service.

On Sunday, Oct. 9, at 11 a.m., An Old Fashion Homecoming will be observed at Holly Grove Disciples of Christ Church, Clinton. The pastor, Elder Terrell Powell will minister the word and the mass choir will render the music. Old Fashion dinner will be served following morning service.

On Saturday, Oct. 22, at from 7 a.m. – 5 p.m., Mingle Hill will have their Annual Fall Bazaar. Yard Sales, Food Vendors, Entertainment at 1- 4 p.m. Car Show. FMI call Oscar Williams at 910-990-4670. Robinson Chapel Missionary Church will be collecting can goods, toiletries, water and blankets for Louisiana flood victims. Members are coming together to help those affected by the horrific floods in their time of need. Help us make a different in Louisiana, as we collect Goods to be a blessing. Our collection center will be open every Wednesday as we work with the Red Cross at 2217 Old Mintz Hwy., Roseboro.
