Due to Hurricane Matthew, this weekends performances at the Sampson Community Theater of “Joseph and the amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” have been cancelled. Please tell everyone you know.
The new schedule is for performances on Thursday, Oct. 13, Friday, Oct. 14. Saturday, Oct. 15 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 16, at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. for a total of fi9ve shows. All pre-sold tickets will be honored on either date.
In 1987 Kathy Day (our treasurer and distinguished Board member) had the role of “Narrator” in McDaniel College’s production of “Joseph”. It was there she met her future husband, Derek Day, who was a member of the orchestra. Forward to today and their daughter , Sarah Day, is the narrator in our production of “Joseph” and does such a bangup job that Kathy and Derek are extremely proud of her as are all of us.
“Joseph” is appropriate for all ages and moves rapidly from one scene to another so that all can enjoy so get your tickets now at Inkspot, Matthew’s Gifts or at the box office on production days. We are grateful to Performance Dodge for sponsorship of this show.
Don’t forget Angela Martin will be holding auditions for How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying on Oct. 15 at 10 a.m. Performances are the first two weekends of December.
The 2017 shows that we have scheduled so far is “Mary Poppins,” scheduled for February, “Fiddler on the Roof,” and Suessical the Musical and “Les Miserable.” The other shows are listed below but are subject to change.
