(The public reports listed below are provided by the Sampson County Sheriff’s Office, the Clinton Police Department and the N.C. Highway Patrol via the Sheriff’s Office daily jail report.)

Arrests/citations

• Oct. 18 — Dulce Hernandez Lopez, 21, of 208 Livingston Lane, Clinton, was charged with false report to police station, driving while license revoked, operating a vehicle with no insurance and fictitious registration card/tag. Bond set at $2,000; court date is Nov. 8.

• Oct. 18 — Reditha Lynn Denning, 51, of 380 Old Crow Road, Newton Grove, was charged with three counts of worthless check. Bond set at $1,000; court date is Nov. 1.

Incidents/investigations

• Oct. 18 — Ricky Sampson of Turkey reported a break-in and theft of a .380-caliber handgun, laptop computer, 42-inch TV and a DVD player. Items valued at $1,030.

• Oct. 18 — Jeffery Hobbs reported that someone took his wheelchair, valued at $2,000, from behind Hardee’s.

• Oct. 18 — Peter Byrd of Clinton reported the theft of property, including two rifles, an 8-inch tablet and a corded drill. Items valued at $925.

• Oct. 18 — John Malinek of Turkey reported the theft of two firearms and two pieces of jewelry from his residence. A 9mm pistol, 12-gauge pump shotgun, diamond ring and pearl necklace were valued at $3,975 total.

• Oct. 18 — William Hall of Dunn reported two shotguns stolen from his bedroom closet. The firearms, 12-gauge and 16-gauge, were valued at $1,000. Two gun cases were valued at $30 apiece.

• Oct. 18 — Donald Butler of Clinton reported the larceny of numerous items from his garage. A 5000 watt generator, chainsaw, leaf blower, weedeater and drill were valued at $3,060.

• Oct. 18 — Julie Honeycutt of Clinton reported the windows broken on her 2000 Pontiac Grand Am. The damage was estimated at $2,000.

• Oct. 18 — M&A Bass Farms of Clinton was the victim of theft. A number of hand and power tools were stolen, along with a toolbox and a .22-caliber rifle. Items were valued at $1,395.
