After several years delay and the further delay by Hurricane Matthew, Director Dan Holland was finally able to get his cast of “Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” on our stage for six performances in four days this past weekend.

The cast was excellent and the director was extremely proud of them. Unfortunately our audiences were sparse since the roads were still not passable in many areas and many folks were still cleaning up after Matthew swept through our county. Many thanks to Performance Dodge for their sponsorship and to the cast for giving us two weekends of the show in one weekend.

Angela Martin held auditions this past weekend for our next show “How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying,” which is a musical comedy that was popular enough to receive a Pulitzer Prize in the 1960’s. Enough folks auditioned that she has a full cast and will begin rehearsals this weekend. More information concerning this show will be forthcoming in future columns.

The 2017 shows that we have scheduled so far is “Mary Poppins” scheduled for February, “Fiddler on the Roof,” “Suessical the Musical,” and “Les Miserable.” The other shows are listed below but are subject to change. 2017 Patron tickets are currently available by calling Brenda Martin at 990-4510. Patron tickets give two people admissions to every show we produce in 2017 to a reduced rate.

Thoughts until next week:

Politics: the art of appearing candid and completely open while concealing as much as possible.

Politics is war without bloodshed, while war is politics with bloodshed.

Political questions are far too serious to be left to the politicians.
