Cast continues to make audience laugh

All that yipping and yapping and arfs and woofs that were heard by anyone in downtown Clinton over the past weekend were more than likely emanating from the Sampson Community Theater where the two casts of “101 Dalmatians” were performing the first four of nine productions which involve not only Dalmatians but also Scotties, Boxers, Chihuahuas, Poodles and a few Sooners (a Sooner is a dog that had just as soon be one breed as another).

The audiences were very appreciative of all the hard work the cast had obviously put in by their numerous applauses and cheers. If you missed hearing these 5-18 year old kids singing doggie songs then you are in luck because you have 4 more chances to catch this energetic, lively show that is being sponsored by Prestage Farms and a Grassroots grant from the Sampson County Arts Council. If you want to be entertained this weekend make your way to the Sampson Community Theater this Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. and on Sunday at 3 p.m. and be ready to laugh and clap and clap and laugh. You will love all the costumes and the lovable little folks filling up the costumes.

The Board is in the process of lining up shows for our 2016 season. If you have a favorite show you would like to see call us at 592-8653 and leave us a message. If we can obtain the rights it’s possible your suggestion will be seen on the big stage next season.

Our website is available at: www.sampsoncommunitytheatre.org and we are on Facebook but if you visit us there, we ask that you “like” us while there.

Thoughts until next week:

A good laugh and a long sleep are the two best cures for anything.

Worry never robs tomorrow of its sorrow, it only robs today of its joy.

Sometimes asking for help is the most meaningful example of self-reliance.
