Area churches to hold celebration services

On Wednesday, Feb. 15-17 at 7 p.m. nightly (already in progress), the month of the Prophets will be held at The New Church of Christ, Faison. The guest is Prophet Leory Hargett and congregation of Smithfield. On Monday, Feb. 20-24, the guest will be Prophet S.E. McKinney and congregation of Wilson. The New Church of Christ praise team will render the music through out the services.

On Saturday, Feb. 18, at 11 a.m till 1 p.m., the Friendly Trio and Church Association will distribute food bags at the Friendly Community Center, Clinton. FMI call Charles Strickland at 910-590-4925.

On Saturday, Feb. 18, at 6 p.m., Women’s Conference will be held at Holy Tabernacle United Holy Church, Roseboro. The guest messengers will be Elder Barbara Murphy and Minister Hattie Faison. The theme: Virtuous Daughters. Prov. 31:29.

On Saturday, Feb. 18, at 6 p.m., Mingle Hill Disciples of Christ Church, Salemburg, will celebrate their gospel choir anniversary. Various musical guests will attend on the program.

Roseville Missionary Baptist Church will have 9 a.m. worship services on 3rd Sundays beginning on Feb. 19.

On Sunday, Feb. 19, at 11 a.m., Littlefield Missionary Baptist Church, Newton Grove, will celebrate their Annual Black History program during morning service. The pastor, Dr. Claudie Morrisey will bring forth the message. Included in the Black History program will be skits, poems and a play. Music render by the male chorus.

On Sunday, Feb. 19, at 11 a.m., regular morning worship service will be held at Little Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Clinton. The guest messenger will be the Rev. Elbert Fowler of Clinton. The adult choir will render the music. Their Annual Black History program will be held following the morning service.

On Sunday, Feb. 19, at 11 a.m., Running Branch Disciples of Christ Church, Clinton, will celebrate their Annual Black History program. On the program they will have praise dancing, skits, and singing.

On Sunday, Feb. 19, at 11 a.m., Olivet Institutional Baptist Church, Clinton, is celebrating Black History for the entire month. Different activities will be held each Sunday.

On Sunday, Feb. 19, at 11 a.m., Beaver Dam Missionary Baptist Church, on Odom Road, Clinton, will celebrate their Black History service. The pastor, the Rev. Jeremy Jones, will bring forth the message and the mass choir will render the music. Immediately following the service, an “Old Fashion Pot Luck dinner” will be served. On Sunday, Feb. 19, at 11 a.m., regular morning worship service will be held at Clinton International Church on Tillery Street, Clinton. The pastor, the Rev. Paul Blue, will bring forth the morning message and the praise and worship team will render the music.

On Sunday, Feb. 19, at 3 p.m., Brown’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Clinton, will celebrate their Annual Black History program. The theme is: the past, present and future. There will be different activities on the program.

On Sunday, Feb. 19, at 3 p.m., Snowhill Missionary Baptist Church, Roseboro, will celebrate their Annual Black History program. Skits, plays and singing on the program. Immediately, following morning service an “Old Fashion” dinner will be served.

On Sunday, Feb. 19, at 3 p.m., Union Star Freewill Baptist Church, Clinton, will celebrate their Annual Black History program. They will have skits, reading of black history and singing, and the YPCL will be in charge of the program.

On Sunday, Feb. 19, at 6 p.m., the Global Unity will host a Black History program at the Friendly Community Center, 75 Hanson Road, Clinton. The guest messenger will be Elder John H. Langley and congregation of Fayetteville. Different activities will be held on the program.

On Sunday, Feb. 26, at 11 a.m., the Annual 100 Men’s Rally will be held at St. Peter’s AME Zion Church, 321 Barnes Loop Road, Elizabethtown. Elder Andrew Dixon Brown will bring forth the morning message and the combined male chorus will render the music. FMI call 910-590-4605.

On Sunday, Feb. 26, at 3 p.m., Point Level Disciples of Christ Church, Clinton, will celebrate their Annual Black History program. There will be musical guests and different activities on the program.
