70th class reunion


The Clinton High School class of 1945 held their 70th class reunion July 11 at Salem Pizza in Salemburg. Donald Hollingsworth and wife, Doris were in charge of registration. Invocation was given by Billy Starling. All 10 class members plus six guests were present. Edith Faulkner Lee presented an impressive memorial service for the deceased members. A red rose was placed on a separate table in their honor. Out of the 52 graduate in 1945, many have passed and others had health issues that kept them from attending. Pictured are seated, Lois Best Colwell, Edith Faulkner Lee, Betty Gene Caison Best, Eunice Elmore Brooks and Bessie Jean Crumpler Owen Horne. Standing are James Barrus, Donald Keith Hollingsworth, William L. Starling Jr., Joyce Peterson Hill and Irene Gainey Darden.
