Fun for all

The Sampson Arts Council is sponsoring ‘The Artist’s Palette’, free cultural arts programming featuring local artists! This week, artist Alan Page (pictured) spoke to 47 children about ‘Duck Decoys and Calls’ at the Victor R. Small House in Clinton. The children were amazed by all the animal sounds Mr. Page could create with the calls he carves from wood. The next Artist’s Palette program will be held on Wednesday, August 5th, from 10-11 a.m. at the Victor R. Small House, 709 College St. in downtown Clinton, and will feature ‘Jazz for Kids’ by Dr. Rue Lee-Holmes. Rue is a muti-talented musician and music teacher who plays many types of instruments. There’s no telling how many instruments she will bring to share with us. We hope you will join us for a toe tapping, finger snapping good time! This event is free for all ages. For more information, call the Sampson Arts Council at 910-596-2533.
