Smith performs for seniors

Catherine Smith, the reigning Miss Sampson County Relay for Life, performed and spoke to the Golden Age Fun Club at the Bellamy Center in Clinton on July 11. She and Michael Mozingo, well-known area teacher and performer, brought hope and inspiration to this energetic senior group. Catherine performed several popular Broadway tunes and spoke enthusiastically about her role as Miss Relay for Life. She has special plans during her reign to reach out to Clinton High School where she is a rising sophomore. She would like to encourage all CHS students to be a ‘voice’ for cancer awareness in Sampson County. Proudly sponsored by Serenity Baptist Church, Catherine thanks the Golden Age Fun Club for their $125 donation to Relay for Life.
