A Clinton woman received a felony drug charge following a routine traffic stop in Roseboro, according to Sampson County Sheriff’s authorities.
Mary Faye Lockamy, 21, of 175 Brent Lane, Clinton, was charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Lockamy was reportedly arrested at Lucas Road by agents with the Sheriff’s Special Investigations Divison, who stopped the 2001 Jeep Cherokee she was driving early Tuesday afternoon.
“SID agents conducted a traffic stop on Lucas Road in Roseboro for a registration violation,” Lt. Marcus Smith said Wednesday. “A consent search of the vehicle yielded a plastic bag containing meth. As a result the suspect was charged.”
The meth was a small amount, about 0.01 gram.
Bond was set at $30,000 unsecured. Lockamy was given a court date of Friday, Aug. 28.
