Chris Jenkins of Garland, has received an alumni scholarship in Automotive Technology from Pittsburg State University in Kansas for the 2015-16 academic year.
Jenkins is a graduate of Union High School and is currently a senior majoring in Diesel and Heavy Equipment.
He is the son of Herman Smith of Garland.
