Godwin-Falcon Community Day set

The annual Godwin-Falcon Community Day will be held Saturday, Sept. 19.

The events will begin with a 5k run in Falcon, with registration from 7-7:45 a.m. For more information on the run, visit www.mackdfoundation.org.

The annual Godwin-Falcon Community Day parade will begin at the Godwin-Falcon Fire Department at 10 a.m., proceeding to the Godwin Town Park. Events for the celebration will be held in the part and begin at 11 a.m., following the parade.

The opening ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. The event closes at 5 p.m.

Throughout the day, various food and craft vendors will be set up. Gospel groups from area churches, as well as other entertaining acts, will be held during the day on the stage. Activities for the children will be set up, including an inflatable slide, rock climbing wall and others.

Emergency demonstrations and K-9 demonstrations begin at 1 p.m. The Blood Mobile will be available from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for blood donations.

The event is free, but activities, food and crafts will have a cost.
