An Autryville woman was arrested on drug charges, including possession of meth, following a traffic stop Tuesday, according to reports from the Sampson County Sheriff’s Office.
Marion L. Conner, 21, of 222 E. William St., Autryville, was charged with possession of methamphetamine; possession of drug paraphernalia; simple possession of a Schedule II controlled substance; and simple possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance.
She was placed under $10,000 secured bond.
The arrest happened just before 5 p.m. Tuesday, when drug agents stopped Conner’s 2004 Ford Mustang.
“Agents with the Special Investigations Division conducted a vehicle stop near Autryville on N.C. 24 for a traffic violation,” Sheriff’s Lt. Marcus Smith stated. “A K9 alerted on the vehicle and a probable cause search was conducted. During the search methamphetamines and drug paraphernalia were located.”
Also seized were dosage units of Lorazepam and Oxycodone, reports state.
“This is just another example of how proactive vehicle enforcement yields results,” Smith said.
