Area churches continue homecoming celebrations

On Wednesday, Oct. 7, at 7 p.m., the 2015 W.I.D.U Anniversary Together As One Unity Service will be held at Brown’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Clinton. Renewed and Jeff Pattern and Company will be the musical guests.

On Wednesday, Oct. 7, at 7:30 p.m. Women’s Conference will be held at Running Branch Disciples of Christ Church, Clinton. The theme: When A Man Loves A Woman. The conference host is first lady Elder Shannon Deans. Different guests each night.

On Wednesday, Oct. 7, at 7:30 p.m., Revival is already in progress at First Missionary Baptist Church, Roseboro. Tonight guest speaker is Dr. Evelena Oliver, choir and congregation of St. Jude Holiness Church, Warsaw.

On Thursday, Oct. 8-9, at 7:30 p.m., Greater Mt. Calvary Holiness Church, Clinton will celebrate their Pastoral anniversary for pastor Ruby T. Boykin of 23 years. Thursdsy, the guest speaker is pastor Betty Faison, choir and congregation of New Jackson Tabernacle FBH Church, Mt Olive. (The combine choir is in charge) Friday, the guest speaker is Elder Shirley Parker, Clinton. (The ushers board is in charge)

On Thursday, Oct. 8, Lisbon Street Missionary Baptist Church will host a prayer vigil at Newkirk Park at 6:30 p.m. to pray for the city.

On Sunday, Oct. 11, at 11:30 a.m., the continuance of the pastor’s anniversary will be minister by Minister Tanisha Boykin and the choir will render the music. Refreshments will be served following the morning service. At 3:30 p.m., the guest speaker is Elder Williams Frazier, choir and congregation of Greater Macedonia FBH Church, Wilmington. (The mother and deacon is in charge)

On Friday, Oct. 9, at 5 p.m., the WIDU Anniversary Quartet Night, with The Williams Brothers, Tim Rogers, Doc McKenzie, Lisa Knowles Lamanuel Boykin and Company, Michael Boykin and the Mighty Voices, The Friendly Five and more at the Crown Coliseum, Fayetteville.

On Sunday, Oct.11, at 11 a.m., Jackson Grove Bible Church, Midway, will celebrate their 11th Pastoral Anniversary for Elder Louise Royal. The guest speaker is the Rev. Carl Smith, choir and congregation of Piney Grove Baptist Church, Elizabethtown. At 3:30 p.m. the guest speaker is the Rev. Elliott Tatum, choir and congregation of New Bethlehem Church, Fayetteville.

On Sunday, Oct. 11, at 11 a.m., the 11th Pastoral Anniversary will be held for the Rev. Bob Rogers at First Missionary Baptist Church, Turkey. The guest minister is the Rev. Ray Bolton, choir and congregation of Red Hill Missionary Baptist Church, Clinton. Dinner will be served following the service.

On Sunday, Oct. 11, at 11 a.m., Homecoming will be observed at Union Grove Freewill Baptist Church, Keener. The guest speaker is Bishop William Jones, choir and congregation of Jones Tabernacle Church, Kinston. Dinner will be served following the morning service. At 3:30 p.m., the guest speaker is Elder Dannie Robinson, choir and congregation of Point Level Disciples of Christ Church, Clinton.

On Sunday, Oct.11,at 10 a.m., Homecoming, Family and Friend’s Day will be observed at First Missionary Baptist Church, Roseboro. Pastor John T. Oliver will minister the word and the combine choir will render the music. Dinner will be served, following the morning service.

On Sunday, Oct. 11, at 11 a.m., Holly Grove Church of Christ, Clinton, will celebrate an Old Fashion Homecoming Service. Pastor Terrell Powell will minister the word and the mass choir will render the music. Dinner will be served following the morning service.

On Friday, Oct. 16, at 7:30 p.m., Prophetic Service will be held at The New Church of Christ, Faison. The guest is Prophet Michael Norris, choir and congregation of First Love Ministry, Raleigh.

On Saturday, Oct. 17, at 6 p.m., Western Assembly Disciples of Christ Churches Appreciation Banquet Honoring Bishop Charles James Williams, Sr. 38 years of service. On Saturday, Oct. 17, at 7 p.m., Union Grove Church of Christ, Clinton, will hold Holy Communion Service and asked to wear white attire.

On Sunday, Oct. 18, from 10-11 a.m., The Hour Of Power will attend at Mary Gran Nursing Home, Clinton. Pastor Butts of Restored For A Purpose Church, Clinton is the presider. The guest speaker, the Rev. Faison of Trinity United Freewill Holiness Church, Clinton will minister the word and the Hodges Sisters of Clinton, will render the music.

On Sunday, Oct.18, at 11 a.m. Homecoming service will be observed at Union Grove Church of Christ, Clinton. Dinner will be served after morning service. At 3 p.m., the guest speaker is Bishop Varnie N. Fullwood, choir and congregation of Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church, Clinton. On Sunday, Oct. 18, at 11:30 a.m., Wilson Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Turkey, will celebrate their 145th Homecoming Service. Pastor Wendell Newton will minister the word, and the senior choir will render the music. Dinner will be served immediately following the service.

On Sunday, Oct. 18, at 4 p.m., Pastor Ruby T. Boykin, choir and congregation of Mt. Calvary Holiness Church, Clinton, will be the guest speaker at the New Testament Holiness Church, Boliva.

On Sunday, Oct. 18, at 4 p.m., Pastor Jeffery B.White, choir and congregation, are invited to Burning Bush Church Anniversary, Fayetteville.
