A trip to the market

L.C. Kerr School students from Shannon B. Pearsall’s class toured Food Lion in Clinton on Tuesday. Brad Whaley, assistant manger for the Clinton location, showed the pre-kindergarten students different areas of the store including the meat department, produce section and deli. Students also learned about the store’s recycling program. The visit was part of the curriculum for the class, which includes learning about job and family places such as the grocery store.
