AUTRYVILLE — Two suspects in a South Carolina murder have been apprehended after Sampson County Sheriff’s authorities, investigating an anonymous tip, found the two men hiding out at an Autryville residence Friday afternoon.
Around 2:30 p.m. Friday, investigators with the Sampson County Sheriff’s Office located two fugitives at 56 Garden Spot Lane, Autryville. Acting on an anonymous tip, investigators located Rondell Timothy Trapp, 30, also known as “Buddy,” and Latroy Elmore Trapp, 34, also known as “Black,” both of whom have active murder warrants out of South Carolina for a murder that occurred Oct. 8 in Winnsboro, S.C.
Both subjects are currently being held in the Sampson County Detention Center without bond, awaiting extradition proceedings.
According to SC Crimestoppers and multiple media reports out of South Carolina, the two are accused in a shooting that resulted in the death of Riley Gadson Jr. in Winnsboro, S.C. They were both identified as suspects at the beginning of this month, and were said to be armed and dangerous.
