Sampson County’s Vanessa Richardson will be presenting the stage production, “Answered Prayers,” Saturday, Dec. 19, at 6 p.m., at the Sampson County Agri-Exposition Center.
Richardson wrote and is producing the production. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.
Those attending are asked to bring a non-perishable food item, new and gently used clothing or new toys to donate to needy families.
“We want to bless those who are experiencing economic hardships,” Richardson said. “We want others to bring these gifts out of love.”
Bins will be provided for the items for those who want to donate.
Richardson has been producing such shows for the last seven years. Collections have been taken up for the last four years. Richardson’s church donates the items to families who are in need. If any items are left over, they are donated to Social Services.
Typically, the production collects enough items to donate to four to seven needy families.
Tickets can be purchased at the door, or in advance at answeredprayers/eventbrite.com.
Richardson promises the show to be very entertaining, full of comedy and music.
“We want to show people how to remain positive in bad situations,” Richardson said.
