Red Hats offer helping hand

At their monthly meeting Wednesday, the Red Buds and Bloomers Red Hat group presented Helping Hands of Sampson County committee member Beth Oglesby, far left, with a check supporting the March 5 event to honor Sampson’s emergency responders. Pictured presenting the check to Oglesby, who is also a member of the Red Hat club, are, from left: Helen Hobson, Connie Williamson and Til Herring. To donate to the Helping Hands project mail checks (make payable to Sampson County Substance Abuse Coalition-Helping Hands in the memo line) to PO Box 475, Clinton, NC 28329.
