SCC hosts talent show

The show seems to draw a bigger crowd each year. Students from SCC’s Academy of Continuing Excellence at the Clinton and Roseboro sites as well as the Adult Day Vocational Program located at the county complex on Rowan Road came together to bring the house down at Sampson Community College.

On display was an abundance of hard work, dedication, perseverance, and above all courage. The talent ranged from silent skits to comedy, inspirational group singings that did not leave a dry eye in the house and of course the ever popular solos all of which showcased what the ACE program is all about, love. Each year, when people leave the show, they take away with them what is truly important in life, that is to love and care for one another and to be thankful for whatever blessings we have in our lives.

These programs cater to those who face additional educational challenges and to offer students a chance to strive and show their talents despite these challenges. SCC is fortunate to have the best staff members in place with the rare skill set and infinite patience to encourage and nurture the ACE students to not be afraid to keep trying even if they fail, and teach them that they can do more than they ever have imagined.
