Police: Teen attempts to run over another; two charged

Two teenage girls have been charged in connection with a domestic incident on Stewart Avenue, in which one of the females attempted to run a male teenager over with her vehicle and was assaulted by another female, according to Clinton Police reports.

The Clinton Police Department responded to a disturbance call in 700 block of Stewart Avenue at approximately 1:30 pm Monday. According to police, the incident reportedly started at 712 Stewart Ave., where several people were involved in a domestic argument.

After investigators interviewed the involved parties, charges were filed against Bianca Boone, 19, of Roseboro, for attempting hit Jaylan Rose, 19, who resides at 712 Stewart Ave., with a vehicle. A charge was also were filed against Taranesia Jefferson, 19, of Clinton, for striking Boone with her fists.

Boone was charged with second degree trespassing, assault with a deadly weapon, and communicating threats. Bond was set at $5,000 secured. Jefferson was charged with simple assault. Her bond was set at $500 unsecured.

According to police, witnesses did report two subjects fleeing the scene with a firearm when police first arrived. Officers quickly located and detained the subjects at the Family Dollar that was located a block away from the incident. No weapons were found and the subjects were released.
