Thursday’s ‘Catch of the Day’ at the home of Don and Ann Butler was a 43-pound snapping turtle, the largest experienced trapper Mike Nunnery has ever snagged. Snapping turtles are dangerous pond predators, especially to young wood ducks which are hatching at the Butler’s bird sanctuary throughout the spring months.
