Sampson Community College recently welcomed Vincent Harris, a successful entrepreneur, speaker, author and investor, as a special guest speaker to the college’s Male Mentoring group in a session entitled “Don’t Be Stupid.”

The topic signified that in today’s world some things are not tolerated because they don’t make sense to others and often to the person doing the “stupid” things. Taking ownership of one’s actions and being able to determine the difference between one’s own perception and reality and how the two of them are related was a common thread of the session.

Harris used himself and his successes as an example to teach students that most success stories are rooted in the acceptance of other cultures, particularly in the business world. The group discussed that negative stereotypes exist whether we like them to or not but successful communicators will talk to diffuse negative thoughts and move forward with working relationships.

He holds a copyright for The Monopoly System Principles and is the founder of Generation Wealth Revolution and Dynamic Mindset.
