Area churches hosting Mother’s Day services

On Wednesday, May 4-6, at 7:30 p.m., Spring Revival is being held at Union Grove Church of Christ, Clinton. The special guest is the Rev. Luther Barnes, pastor, Restoration of Rocky Mount, will render the services nightly. On Wednesday, May 4-11 at 7 p.m., Prayer Meeting is being held at Roseboro United Methodist Church, Roseboro. FMI call 910-525-4470.

On Friday, May 6, at 7 p.m., God’s Flower Garden Banquet will be held at the Western Assembly Disciples of Christ Headquarter Building on Hwy 701, South, Newton Grove.

On Friday, May 6, at 7:30 p.m., Pre-Mother’s Day service will be held at Union Grove Freewill Baptist Church, Keener. The guest will be mother Peggy Treachey of Goshen Disciples Church, Faison.

On Saturday, May 7, at 9:30 a.m., Big Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church will have a Mother’s Day Breakfast. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Linda McLymore of First Baptist, Roseboro..

On Saturday, May 7, at 11 a.m., The Ladies of Bearskin Missionary Baptist Church, Clinton, will host a Mother’s Day Fashion Show and Luncheon. The theme is: Fashion to Follow. Lunch will be served.

On Saturday, May 7, at 11 a.m. 2 p.m., The Ushers of Wilson Chapel Church are having a dinner sale in front of O’Reily Auto parking lot. Dinners are $8 and if you buy 10 or more dinners, it will be delivered to you. FMI call 910-533-3397.

On Saturday, May 7 at 5 p.m., Chapel Hill Missionary Baptist Church, Autryville, is sponsoring a Rainbow Tea. There will be different events on the program.

On Saturday, May 7, at 6 p.m., Mother’s Day Banquet will be held at Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church, Autryville. The guest speaker will be Sister Helen Thompson of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, Fayetteville. She is the former president of the Usher’s Division of North Carolina State Baptist Convention. She is also a retired public school teacher of both the Cumberland and Sampson County School systems.

On Saturday, May 7, at 6:30 p.m., The Daughter’s of Zion will have prayer night. There will be different prayers to be discussed.

On Sunday, May 8, at 9:30 a.m., Bearskin Missionary Baptist Church youth will host Muffins for Moms.

On Sunday, May 8, at 10 a.m., Mother’s Day service will be held at First Missionary Baptist Church, Roseboro. The Rev. Michell Raynor will minister the word, and the women’s choir will render the music.

On Sunday, May 8, at 10 a.m., Mother’s Day service will be held at Big Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Clinton. There will be a guest speaker and the women’s choir will render the music.

On Sunday, May 8, at 10:45 a.m., Annual Mother’s Day service will be held at Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist, Clinton. First Lady Elder Idella Fullwood will bring forth the Mother’s Day message. The Mother’s Day choir will minister through music.

On Sunday, May 8, at 11 a.m., Mother’s Day will be observed at: Brown’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Clinton; Saint Stephen A.M.E. Zion Church, Garland. The guest speaker will be Evangelist Lillie Stokes of Union Star Original Freewill Baptist Church, Clinton; Bearskin Missionary Baptist Church, Clinton. The Rev. Lora J. Sutton will deliver the Mother’s Day message. The BMBC Mother’s Day choir will render the music; Cedar Creek Missionary Baptist Church, Clinton. The guest speaker will be the associate Minister Barabra Smith of Little Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Clinton. The women’s choir will render the music; Snowhill Missionary Baptist Church, Clinton. The speaker will be associate minister Evangelist Lisa Bennett of Snowhill. The male chorus will render the music for the women; Lisbon St. Missionary Baptist Church, Clinton. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Evon Faison of First Baptist Church, Clinton. The women’s choir will render the music; First Missionary Baptist Church, Turkey. The guest minister will be Pastor Beulah Pickett of Burning Bush Holiness Church, Faison. The women choir will render the music; Jackson Grove Bible Church of God, Midway. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Mary King of Greater Six Runs Missionary Baptist Church, Turkey. The combine women’s choir will render the music; Littlefield Missionary Baptist Church, Newton Grove. The guest speaker will be Elder Durham of Goldsboro. The women’s choir will render the music; Holly Grove Disciples of Christ Church, Clinton. The guest speaker will be Evangelist Temeka Michelle Newkirk of Last Day Outreach Ministry, Rosehill; The New Church of Christ, Faison. The pastor Apostle Blonny Aycock will bring the Mother’s Day message. The women’s choir will render the music. There will be a Mother’s Day Outing after church; Union Grove Freewill Baptist Church, Keener. The guest speaker will be Eldress Angela Parker of Mingle Hill Disciples of Christ, Salemburg. The women’s choir will render the music; Olivet Institutional Baptist Church, Clinton. The Mother’s Day messenger will be the Rev. Jacqueline McDoe and music render by the O.I.D. choir. Dinner will be served following the morning service; Chapel Hill Missionary Baptist Church, Autryville. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Judy J. Truitt of First Baptist Church, Clinton. The adult choir will render the music; and Greater Mt. Calvary Holiness Church, Clinton. Minister Tanisha Boykin will bring forth the Mother’s Day message, and the combine choir will render. There will also be speeches and solos.

On Wednesday, May 11-13 at 7 p.m. nightly, New Life Outreach Ministries will celebrate eight years for their pastor Regina Lucious’ church anniversary and revival. Different speakers each night. The continuous of the service will be on Sunday, May 15, at 10:30 a.m. Pastor Regina Locious will bring forth the word and the combine choir will render the music.

On Saturday, May 14, at 11 a.m., a fish fry plate sale sponsored by the Pastor’s Aide Committee at The Kingdom Building Baptist Church, Clinton. Plates are $7. FMI call 910-564-4276 for delivery.

On Saturday, May 14, at 11 a.m., the Annual Community Fellowship Cookout will be held at Bearskin Missionary Baptist Church, Clinton. The day will filled with shared faith, fun and food for everyone. FMI please contact Larry Sutton 910-564-4717.

On Sunday, May 15, at 11 a.m., Mother’s Day service will be held at Little Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Clinton. The guest speaker will be Sandra Spells, the associate minister of Hayes Chapel Church, Clinton. The women’s choir will render the music.

On Sunday, May 15, at 11 a.m., Women’s Day will be observed at Point Level Disciples of Christ Church, Clinton. All women color: white dresses and purple accessories. The guest speaker will be Minister Gail Baggett Jones of Newname, Ga.

On Sunday, May 15, at 2:30 p.m., Pastor’s Aide program will be held at The Kingdom Building Baptist Church, Clinton. The guest speaker will be Evangelist Elizabeth Parson. of Spring Lake.
